Until you own an iPod, you will never understand! I bought mine on a lark and now I don't know how I ever lived without it.

My son had an iPod and I thought it was just a fad. But until I realized the ability of the iPod to access all your music with no effort and to find it in an organized way, I didn't understand the appeal.

It's like carrying around every CD you ever owned, plus all your favorite singles, but having them in a handy little pocket sized device.

Now we can hook iPods into the car stereo, or into a docking station. There's even a device called a dockapod, that allows one to play the iPod through the intercom.

I'm now a firm believer in the technology.

I don't own one, but my nephew does and I've looked at it and listened. I don't see the lure. Of course, I'm not an audiophile. Just plain old FM radio and CDs sound fine to me and Rush on AM or on the computer live stream works for me.

HELP!

I have an ipod, but cannot connect it to our computer (hard drive) -- in the USB port....have itunes software downloaded on the computer, put a cd in (old Dionne Warwick songs on cd), BUT could not get the itunes softward to recognize the (plugged-in) ipod....tried two USB ports on our hard drive -- neither worked....it seems the itunes software is not recognizing the (plugged-in) ipod....someone at work told me it could be that the USB port is not plugged into the hard drive. Could this be the (simple) explanation to all this? How does one "plug" the USB port into the hard drive? Open the hard drive and...? I'm good at the Internet and such, but am a bit of a klutz (I admit it) when it comes to the "hard drive thing"...any and all information in this regard would be greatly appreciated -- and I'd be glad to elaborate a bit more on the situation in succeeding postings on this thread...
