May I ask? Do you know what a MANPAD shot looks like coming at you?

I would believe the pilot had seen a SAM in his lifetime - if ex-military. The chance of a passenger having seen (a known SAM shot) would be rare, to say the least. A MANPAD is much smaller than a SAM and would be hard to see from the air, from the ground the smoke trail is a bit distinctive....

No, but I know what a MANBAG shot looks like coming at me. Some gay guy at the office got pissed at me and tried to belt me with his "purse". I reported it to the proper authorities.
