I know Severin. I lived in Jamaica Plain for a couple of years. All I could say to him is listen to the Roth era albums and what you hear is amazing technique and great songs. Not just noodling for noodlings sake. I have to say though that I saw Van Halen on the last tour in Oakland and it was a great show but Eddie looked terrible. He wore the same pair of camo pants for the entire tour and he just didn't look like the same guy that he used to be. He also smoked for the entire show and I read that he and Sammy had to be separated on the last night of the tour as Eddie threw a temper tantrum on stage. Still one of the greats of all time and Eruption is like taking a master's class in guitar histrionics!
Hmmm, there are a few problems.
1. The Boathouse was in Norfolk, not Hampton.
2. It did not exist in 1969, it opened in 1983.
3. Deep Purple never played there.
