My last post before getting some shut-eye, because you discussed Lesley Gore -- she was my favorite girl singer as a kid, too. I used to like "You Don't Own Me" and "Maybe I Know" as well as "It's My Party" and of course "Judy's Turn To Cry." Oh yeah, and "She's A Fool" too. Lesley was touring a lot with Lou Christy on that casino circuit. He was good too. I saw her in 1963 at Steel Pier in Atlantic City -- Cousin Brucie from WABC introduced her -- Randy and the Rainbows ("Denise") and The Pixies Three ("Birthday Party" and "442 Glenwood Avenue") and The Essex ("Easier Said Than Done" and "A Walkin' Miracle") were also on the agenda. Anyway, Lesley was only 16 then -- she could be kind of cute if you caught her at just the right angle, but not so cute from the wrong angle. From Englewood Cliffs, NJ.
