To: Prophet in the wilderness
I was away for a little while, now, I am back, but will go to bed soon.I will most likely have a long day tomorrow. However, I will share a little more advice.
First, I want to tell you that I am sorry for what happened to you, and your parents. I did NOT have to see a divorce, my mother and father loved each other very much, BUT-- when I was 7, (30 years ago this last July) he died, and so, my mother had to raise me and my sister alone. So, I know what it is like to have only one parent.
Second(and this will most likely get me called names-- but so be it--) I think that Oprah is one of the WORST influences on Americans, and women in particular, in the last 20 years. it is no surprise that she would had presented such an episode. Early on, most of her shows were about "evil men, and how they hurt women" I think she has been hurt by men, and uses her power AND money(around 2 BILLION )to push her man-hating agenda, and in recent years, just a non-Christian, liberal agenda all around.
Third, I think you have some bitterness, that you are holding in you heart. So do I. Mine is against people who have hurt me, mostly to have some "fun", or to get something, or just out of ignorance. Some of them were women, some of them my family, many of them "Christians". I am asking the Lord to help me get rid of this, once and for all. It does not help ANY of us, to carry that bitterness around. So, ask God to help rid you of this bitterness, and hurt. I KNOW it is not easy. But we must do this, if we are to "move on", and develop positive, productive attitudes.

I thank you for your encouragement.
This is not a perfect world we live in, and all of us can agree ( at least agree on one thing ) that this world is really messed up.
I try to forgive others, and at times, I think I have achieved that, but, once we think we have gotten passed that obstacle, that old bitterness comes back, and your right, it's so difficult to deal with it.
However, the Lord commands us to forgive as he forgave us.
