You know, in the early 1800s England was plagued by a culture of sexual excess and rampant alcoholism. Crime and depravity were everywhere. By the 1840s people got sick of it and England underwent a sort of moral Renaissance which became the Victorian era. Society's problems weren't solved by any means, but society as a whole publicly supported marriage, family, church, and decency. I hope that someday Americans will become sickened by what our virtue-less society has turned into and will have a moral renaissance like that.

But I think all traits...Like virtue, integrity, honor, honesty, self-sacrifice are greatly lacking into many people today. And it isn't just gender specific. Maybe its just a big case of no self-respect.
It would be wonderful to find some middle ground between the Taliban and Sex in the City. I've experienced both extremes and both have their own unique misery about them. Neither create a generation of healthy individuals because both mindsets tend to cause harm to the most helpless (the kids).
