This is a big loss for Angela Merkel, her partner from the CSU said they wanted 45%.

I believe Angela Merkel will resign now as consequence.

I cannot believe that the damn PDS communists are at 10%. What a joke! Germany is utterly hopeless. I am so glad that I will be leaving here and going back to the States soon. This many votes for outright communists is sickening.

I hope she won't. Yes, the real problem is that the center/right coalition won't work anymore with 45%. However, this MAY still change. Final results should be available in maybe three hours or so.

Right now the "best" possible coalition would be CDU/SPD which probably couldn't accomplish much.

Let's see how things work out.
