This is going to be more of the "Million (your name here) March" -- which will mean that no more than a few thousand rent-a-mobs, union draftees and goons, and other Leftist misfits will show up, collect a check, and head on home on the next bus. All show and no dough.

but I commend our law enforcement for their professionalism and patience in dealing with them.

Me too. Imagine what one of those protests must smell like, and the police horses have to be very careful not to slip and break a leg on the piles of used condoms.

I would imagine they will have more than 1000 lefites out there. They seem to be a lot more motivated than a lot of freepers these days.

Motivated in this case means being PAID to show up. Most Freepers have jobs and have to WORK for a living. Soros and his Brain-Dead minions have billions to waste on these unproductive seditious bastards willing to show up and foam at the mouth with their hatred of GW Bush.

Look in the classified ads Help Wanted sections of virtually any U.S. newspaper and you'll see ads for "Activists". Traitor's pockets run deep.

No, this will be a large march. I do NOT agree with the march, but you have to be living in a cave, or in FR, to stil think this is a wildly popular war. Happy to be proved wrong, but I think 100,000 people is a fair, if not conservative, estimate.

Yeah, and among you will see john sKerry hurl a set of his faked purple hearts over the fence again!!!

They have the right to protest sure, but these laws are over the edge. Are there any "new" laws that prohibit the protesters?

"It is the first major rally to occur since a D.C. law that requires police to give clear warnings before arresting demonstrators took effect.

Passed in response to the much-criticized mass arrests of protesters at a downtown park in 2002, the law also restricts the use of police lines to contain nonviolent demonstrators and requires that police wear clearly identifiable badge numbers. Police also may not stop spontaneous rallies -- as long as such incidents do not clog sidewalks or violate traffic laws -- by arresting demonstrators for protesting without a permit."

The police have been set up by these laws. There was nothing wrong with what they did in 2002. It was effective and no one was hurt.

Combined with ever-evolving protester tactics and training in new methods of violence, there will be now (quite possibly) be trouble. Headline: "Violence in Iraq Spills Into DC"

"Violence in Iraq Spills Into DC"

In the real world, that's backwards. Violence in DC spills into Iraq.

Police have to now warn lawbreakers before they arrest them? How 'bout this? How 'bout we post signs at every entrance to DC that say, "Hey, dumbass, if you break our laws, we'll arrest you. If you don't understand this, call 1-800-IMA-DUMBASS."

DC isn't the only place where this will be going on. Check for protests near you and counter them, ESPECIALLY if you're near a military installation. DON'T LET THESE BUMS DEMORALIZE OUR TROOPS!

"real world"

no relation to MSM (or probably, to your own thinking)

Saturday's rally, part of a weekend of protests and counter-protests, will be the first demonstration allowed to surround the White House in more than a decade. It is the first major rally to occur since a D.C. law that requires police to give clear warnings before arresting demonstrators took effect. Passed in response to the much-criticized mass arrests of protesters at a downtown park in 2002, the law also restricts the use of police lines to contain nonviolent demonstrators and requires that police wear clearly identifiable badge numbers. Police also may not stop spontaneous rallies -- as long as such incidents do not clog sidewalks or violate traffic laws -- by arresting demonstrators for protesting without a permit.

No protests allowed in a decade? This change was made just for this reason; to allow them to protest Bush. It also seems as the police will no longer be allowed to control the rabble. This is a more important issue to me rather than arguing about how many people will be there.

Motivation is more than showing up. There have more responses to goofy threads around here than responses on activism as of late. Preaching to the choir is important but it will only help so much. Even support for threads such as freeps by the DC chapter do not get as many responses as outrageous threads usually involving sex or stupidity.

I thought I had quotes in that post to show the statement was yours. It didn't show up that way.
