i STILL CAN'T GET PAST WHO IS REPLACING WHOM. i SAY rOBERTS WAS NOMINATED TO REPLACE o'cONNOR, THEREFORE WHEN w. NOMINATES A CONSERVATIVE WITH A TRACK RECORD IT WILL BE A rHENQUIST REPLACEMENT.

Fromt their persepctive, his performance as AG has been stellar.
However, before Bush selected ROberts, he met with several would-be condidates. The face-to-face meetings may have been to prepare them for when he made his announcement for ROberts.
At any rate - PRAY he doesn't put Gonzales on that Court.

President Bush should simply tell Schumer and company he is nominating Judge Owen, and if they block her, he is nominating Maura Corrigan, and if they block her, he is nominating Janice Rogers Brown, and if they block her, he is nominating Edith Jones.
