The United States remains under threat and is vulnerable to attacks by international terrorists despite government efforts to tighten visa procedures and enhance intelligence cooperation, an immigration watchdog group said yesterday. The Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) said streamlined visa requirements and upgraded intelligence data made it "more likely" that the "continuing vulnerability of our borders to illegal entry will be exploited in the next terrorist attack."

FAIR's focus is on restricting legal immigration, and it really does almost nothing to tackle illegal immigration. They have their priorities completely backwards.

We already have too many people and no longer need large numbers of immigrants. In my area violent home invasion gangs are often composed of both legal and illegal immigrants.

Somalis dragged the bodies of our soldiers through their streets, and our government's reaction was to import large numbers of them into this country. We are also admitting scores of other immigrants from hostile countries.

Our scenic areas and our Civil War battlefields have been destroyed for housing develop mets. Traffic has become a nightmare in many areas.

We are importing the wrong kind of immigrants - those who refuse to learn English and expect us to provide them with translators, those who go on welfare, criminals, terrorists, infect with serious communicable disease, etc..
