That's fine; it's funny. But the Glob has no honor, no standing to nitpick. From Lehigh's column, it would seem to have been an honest mistake on Jay's part, and so the hack journalist's gotcha with a pious tone about being truthful grates.
I've heard Jay Severin tell the story before and, as I recall, he explained that he meant the prize was the online equivalent of the Pulitzer.
