A master's degree? So what... you don't brag about that.

Jay Severin is a phony and a Bush basher, Howie Carr rules.

I don't know what is the matter with him. He claimed Pres. Bush would lose the second election (because of exit polls which Rush Limbaugh warned us to completely ignore) and now he wants us to pull out of Iraq which will bring devastating effects and a real boost to terrorists all over the world.

Does he hate the President that much that we should pull out of Iraq because it was the idea of the President to go in there?

Your taking the side of the Boston Globe is disgusting on its face. Moreover, this is a meaningless charge, a drive-by shooting which is utterly insignificant.

Let's see. He's vain, hyperbolic, innaccurate, condescending and defensive of his lies. Exactly what is unjournalistic about him? And why doesn't he fit in with all the other Pulitzer journos? I say, give it to him! Sheesh, like its an honor or something.

Scott may have something on Jay this time, but, there is a lot of history between Jay and the Boston Globe, and especially Scott Lehigh. More than once, the Globe has written things about Jay Severin that was demonstrably false. Subsequently, Jay has spent hours bashing Scott Lehigh, the Globe's editors, and other writers. So, if this were a boxing match, the Globe just landed a power punch, but they already have been down on the mat at least once before this.

The Globe hates Jay because he talks national elections and politics. Jay has a decent following, but I think it has shrunk of late due to his isolationist stance with respect to the WOT and his views of GWB.

Every listener who has listened for more than a couple of years must know by now Jay is a phony with respect to his private life, that is, he isn't single and he has a child. Somehow he thinks it is cool to pretend he is a 52 yo ladies (young chick) man and free and easy.

Jay's biggest gaff of late is to be a panelist on the Tucker Carlson show on MSNBC with that clipped haired-mean faced dyke opposite him. He was too civil and couldn't rip her apart as he would on radio.

WRT to Howie, this is why he is entertaining: Maine asshole humor, animal destruction jokes, fart jokes, gluttony gags, Submit, Whitey watch, Wizard of 'ahs, and the fact that he says almost nothing of import.

Jay recently filled in for Neal Boortz for a few days on WSB in Atlanta. I had never heard him before.

I listened to part of one day's effort. The following days I needed to clip my toenails or some such important task and left Jay to his hatred of Bush and his self adulation.

So it left me puzzled as to why Neal had Severin filling in. Then a light dawned. Neal is a Libertarian, and Severin is a libertarian, I think.

I get easily irritated with Boortz and turn him off, but at least he sometimes has an entertaining show.

Jay was a senior at Vassar College when I was a freshman. Only then his name wasn't Jay Severin. It was Jimmy Severino and he was a townie, from Poughkeepsie.
He was no preppie - but he was obsessed with them. He used to pretend he was one and would walk around with the collar of his polo shirts up. When he met a new person, he never asked them what their name was. His first question was always " Are you a preppie ?"

I've turned off Jay due to his unrepentant criticism of the Bush policy in Iraq add nauseum, but I'd still take his side against this latest skirmish between him and the weenies at the Boston Globe.
Howie gets my nod at 3 PM.

Severin's biggest problem is Severin. The guys always wrong about the big predictions, ie. John McCain was not elected President, John Kerry was not elected President, there were not tens of thousands of young Americans killed in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Moreover his self proclaimed love of all things military is a bit much to take at times when he opposes the mission they are conducting.

Ole Duke Nuke'm needs to learn a bit of humility. Perhaps this will help.

But he fits right in here in Bosotown, doesn't he?

We have a U.S. Senator whose sole claim to fame -- not infamy, now -- is that his three older brothers died in World War II, in the back seat of the presidential limousine, and in a kitchen staffed by a Palestinian with a pistol.

We have another U.S. Senator who claims to be a war hero for being wounded while playing with a grenade launcher, for wearing a bandaid, and for shooting an unarmed, fleeing teenage Vietnamese boy in the back.

We have numerous frauds up her in the public arena. Scoopnose Severin is just one of many frauds here.

I once listened to Severin. That was until the reality of events proved him wrong time and time again. It is no wonder he is no longer a campaign adviser. One must be able to predict political outcomes correctly at least 50% of the time. That mark he has fell far short of particularly when it involves President Bush.

Severin has predicted President Bush's demise so many times that its become boorish. Iraq is another situation he constantly gets wrong time and time again. I think half of this is brought on by the fact that he seems to need to fit in to some uppity social club and to show his "intelligence" he joins in with them on some issues. Which is fine if one wants to be some ones lap dog.

The one thing I find particularly funny is how on one hand Mr. Severin will attack the Boston Globe, New York Times, and Washington Post and with the other hand use articles written in them to attack President Bush.

I will spend my time listen to fart jokes and such. At least I know that the opinions coming out of Carrs mouth are honest and factual.
