Dear FRiends in Prayer,
It's been said that "no news is good news." This may usually be true, but when a friend and compatriot is stricken with cancer, that is decidedly untrue! I've been on pins and needles all this time.
That said, I have some very good news to pass along this Thanksgiving weekend! Here's the latest update from the home front!
| Colin wants to thank everyone who has been so generous with their prayers, donations for gifts and flowers, giving their leave time and providing meals to his wife and family. Brian (Colin's boss) had a good long talk with Colin a few days ago. Colin's in very good spirits and sounding a bit bored, so we're looking to see if we can throw some remote work his way. Colin was re-hospitalized earlier this month to battle an infection, but that has been dealt with successfully. The best news is that he expects to be back at work early in the new year! |
I am not too proud to say I'm on the verge of tears with this good news. Thank you all for your prayers! And thanks especially to God for His mercy and generosity to my friend and his family. What a joy it is to have this great news in the holiday dedicated to giving thanks!
