I have a picture of an F-4 in my office Tail Number AF67 501, ring any bells.

Not that tail Number Sorry :-( (E model?). But 67-333 (nicknamed triple cripple), 67-232, and a lot of 68-71 models.

I don't know if it was an E model all I know it flew out of PHU CAT AB RVN, 1970-71.
