This story has officially been deprecated from a conspiracy to commit fraud to simply another attempt by the MSM to embarrass our esteemed President. Can we lay off the forgery threads now?

It could have been a lot wierder.
At least the note didn't say "Daddy make boom booms?"

Oh, my goodness . . . there are no secrets," she said, laughing. Perfect response by Condi IMO

It is a fact that Reuters used photoshop to enhance the picture in order to make the writing legible.

For the life of me, I have not been able to figure out what the big deal is. So the President had to go to the bathroom and discreetly asked Condi regarding the decorum.
Big deal!
What, is that supposed to be some pulizter deal now?
What a big deal about nothing.

It could have been a lot wierder. At least the note didn't say "Daddy make boom booms?" OR "The most Powerful Man in the World has to drain the most Powerful monster in the world "

Well, I would ask, "Is nothing sacred?" but that would not be accurate. More like, "Is nothing private anymore?"
That's too much.

I think the big deal is the outrageous level of disrespect for the President. They wouldn't treat Saddam Hussein that way.

Such a simple response too. Disarming.

It is a fact that Reuters used photoshop to enhance the picture in order to make the writing legible.Yes, indeed. But it is also a fact, despite what loads of FreeRepublic conspiracy theorists would have liked to believe, that the content of the note is genuine. Not 'fake but accurate', but 'photoshop enhanced, but real and accurate.'

Of course not! Consider the outrage when pictures were published of our favorite dictator in his undies.

They put Saddam on the front page in his underwear...
...to show how cruelly he'd been treated.

I agree that the actual reporting of such a non-event in an effort to embarass the POTUS is the real story. It is distasteful and digusting.

I thought that was why cowboy boots were big on top...Carry anything in you wanted to Nascar, take any "extra" (that is excessive fluids that couldn't wait for a great finish) fluids out. When is the new "for being on the go" type secret discrete boot top bottles for recycle going to come out?
To: mcg1969
The FOTOG will probably put in for a Pulitzer.

Can we lay off the forgery threads now? Note might be true but a pencil does not write that dark. Reuters edited the photo to make it sensational.

No, it's the fact that Reuters even considered it newsworthy in the first place.
