Proud to Call President George W. Bush my Friend! :-) He makes a good one!

Bush has handled this extremely well. We are lucky to have him. Looks like we drained all the luck right out of Louisiana.

Bush said he would take the blame for every thing the federal goverment did wrong. He did not appologize and did not detail any mistakes because there were none.

W is not an idiot - the commission the dems demanded will clearly show that it was Blanco and Nagin's responsibility and the President will come out looking like the leader that he is......... the committee will do their job and point fingers at the bad guys -
Or at least that is my opinion

In a perfect world, it would turn out that way. The MSM has the story written before the hearings.

Now, the dems want the military to bail them out. Maybe they will remember that the next time they are pushing army recruiters off their college campuses. Now, That, is a very good point no one has made. Hope it gets repeated, and repeated. Though I won't hold my breath either. Sigh

Bush said exactly what I stated: ", I take responsibility," He did not "accept blame." The words responsibility and blame are very different. This is lost on the mainstream media also.

Ah so! I see now that you were pointing out the difference between blame and responsibility where as I was noting that even President Bush's taking responsibility was conditional - "... to the extent the federal government didn't fully do its job right ..."
"This is lost on the mainstream media also." Heh. ;-)
