I mean, now that the Pubs control the Senate, the House, and the committee chairs, they hold the upper hand now, and all of this Democratic gnashing of teeth is just PR.

That was made very clear since, who was it, Biden, who was so vicous, and in private terms, told Judge Roberts he was the "best he'd seen" in front of the committee.
I listened to Sen. Fred Thompson on Hannity this afternoon (I was driving and I was lucky, not too much static out of the Ogdensburg, NY station, LOL!). And he said, these Dems face a hard choice--either alienating their hard core leftist base, or alieniating the middle, who can see that Judge Roberts is reasonable and capable, and, if they get to see enough of the testimony: brilliant.
