Right now in the metropolitan area, we are moving about 10,000 cubic feet per second... That's roughly the flow of the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon right now. It won't take long to drain a 20 foot deep "Lake New Orleans" at that rate.

I hope the levees are proof for another hurricane sometime late next week, cause one may be coming. Likely it won't, or will not be very strong, or it will hit somewhere else, but there is one forming out there, and the initial models say it will make it into the Gulf.
