I live in Utah. Right on top of a fault. The big one (earthquake) is going to hit someday. Are you going to tell all of us to move? There are problems almost everywhere with natural disasters. (BTW, I do have earthquake and flood insurance.)

If you can't afford insurance then yes, you should move. You indicated that you are responsible and do have insurance though.

Every place may be at slight risk for a natural disaster, but there are some that are very high risk. For example, Atlanta's only real threat is tornados. They happen but there is insurance for that.

Living with 20 miles of the gulf coast is a HUGE risk.
