"We know the Mark of the Beast is going to come, the Bible tells us that," Clarence said. "We're not willing to participate in that voluntarily. I think I can speak for everybody here that we don't want to take that chip into our bodies for tracking. We've got to stop somewhere to take our stand against that." Well, why not? Why try to postpone biblical prophecy, if that's what you believe?
You think this sinful world with death and sorrow is preferable to what has been prophesized to replace it?

I know that some day you will die. If you come to me injured tomorrow and I let you die, claiming you are going to die anyway, have I done something wrong? The Amish are the barometers of true liberty in this country.

Bible-believing people cannot not merely sit unopposed to the system of evil that is prophesied. The system of the Antichrist is on the way (many aspects already operating), but we intend to stand against the evil of it so that some who are ignorant and need living demonstrations of allegiance to God's holiness will understand the difference. The Apostle Paul prophesied that "perilous times shall come" (2 Timothy ch. 3), and it not only shall come, but we are in the throes of it. But Christians are to refrain from the things that make these times perilous, and we are to speak for God and righteousness as witnesses for Christ in these end perilous times.

Dog Gone,
You forgot one thing. If we accept any mark or chip that can track us now, we will accept the system used by Satan later.

What the hell are they afraid of? They're Amish. What the hell is the government going to do? Track them while they're going into the chickens coop? Maybe, sending in a covert operation to steal their quilts.

I don't, and I'm sure the Amish don't either. It is their duty to resist that which would aid Satan. I'm sure they are fine with whenever God chooses to return and defeat him, even if not siding with him means they suffer a bit longer on this earth. I admire the strength of their faith. We could use some politicians with this kind of spine.
