I saw it also. I knew at the time that he was a Dem (because Demmy Russert failed to mention Broussard's party affiliation), so I was reasonably sure that they were indeed crocodile tears, put on for the camera.
I hardened my heart, and didn't buy Broussard's pathetic performance. And now, it turns out that my well-honed political instincts were right...

The story might advance due to the charging of St. Rita's Nursing Home owners in the deaths of these people, including the lady Broussard was talking about. As of now the MSM that have mentioned Broussard with that story have not connected the dots to his fabrication.
