I think the there is a bogus element to this story. I've been all over Dixie Outfitters website and I cannot find a tee shirt with any KKK connection, and I've been familiar with their products for a couple of years and have never seen the KKK in anything they make.
I think there's a slander suit in the making here.

A very quick answer:
"The 18-year-old, who is not being identified due to his family's concerns of safety, had just taken off his Dixie Outfitter T-shirt, exposing a highly offensive shirt."
The KKK shirt was underneath the Dixie Outfitter one.
