I like Fred Thompson.

I am on record at FR that I choose Thompson as my out-of-the-box 2008 Presidential candidate.

Not only is he conservative, smart and very capable he has the oratory/acting skills that are unfortunately lacking with President Bush.

Also, Thompson is very recognizable because of his role on Law & Order. I dare say the majority of the population would vote for him because he is the district attorney of NY and knew Lenny Briscoe rather than his own political background.
