Suspended?? What's it take for Publix to fire someone? Does someone have to die? Publix is making sure they aren't being set up.
I am very familiar with the Publix chain. As soon as they confirm all aspects of the story and get a all-clear from their legal dept.
This loser will be gone.

Oh contrair... this loser will end up in federal prison. Tampering with products is a felony ( remember tylenol?) The feds will come down on this guy hard to make an example out of him.

Exactly. Publix is making certain this isn't a Wendy's style 'finger in the chili' fraud.
I'm glad that Wendy's followed through and cleared their name, instead of doing what most lawyers would advise: settle and attach a gag order.
If the claim against Publix is real, the man who drank the soda will have the legal muscle to crush this small chain. A good reason for them to not claim responsibility until all the facts are known.
