Suspended?? What's it take for Publix to fire someone? Does someone have to die?

Publix is making sure they aren't being set up.

I am very familiar with the Publix chain. As soon as they confirm all aspects of the story and get a all-clear from their legal dept.

This loser will be gone.

Gone?

Why not charged criminally?

Publix is also the victim.

They're on the line for their employees actions.

Oh contrair... this loser will end up in federal prison. Tampering with products is a felony ( remember tylenol?) The feds will come down on this guy hard to make an example out of him.

Exactly. Publix is making certain this isn't a Wendy's style 'finger in the chili' fraud.

I'm glad that Wendy's followed through and cleared their name, instead of doing what most lawyers would advise: settle and attach a gag order.

If the claim against Publix is real, the man who drank the soda will have the legal muscle to crush this small chain. A good reason for them to not claim responsibility until all the facts are known.
