Oh, my. The story just keeps getting better and better. Here are the previous posts for background. I have some more photographs, but her face is really dark. One photo can be zoomed, however, to show a pretty good profile. Before I post it here, I am offering it to the National Enquirer.
For Arianna - DRIVING MISS DAISY
ARIANNA FOLLOW UP PHOTO THREAD
ALGORE DECIDED ON THE CADILLAC ESCALADE
Here is the latest. Kudos to KABC radio personality Mr. KABC for following up on our discussion last night. Last night when I told the story on his show, he was astounded. He sent an email to Arianna asking her to be on his show and discuss whether she, in fact, took a gas guzzling SUV to and from the Sierra Club Summit over the weekend in San Francisco. She was the keynote speaker.
A listener to the show sent an email to the person who runs her blog and received a reply. Here's the scoop.
Mr. KABC email to Arianna:
A listener called my show last night [9/13] saying that he photographed you being driven in an SUV to speak at the Sierra Club in San Francisco. I told the listeners that I would try to get on to talk about it.
Are you available for a five minute phoner tonight anytime between 9PM and midnight?
Thanks,
************
a/k/a Mr. KABC
Mr. KABC received this and forwarded it to me. He read it on the air. Another listener contacted the Arianna webmaster.

Dear Mr. KABC,
Roy Sekoff here. I'm the editor of the Huffington Post. One of your listeners, a ********* (name and email address redacted) wrote the following to us today:
on mr KABC night show on september 13th 2005 a reporter called in and said:
he was at the sierra club meeting and saw Arriana Huffington riding a SUV after the meeting and he has pictures to document this. the host mr KABC promised to follow the story and to e-mail mr Huffington. the truth always comes out.
And here is what I just replied:
The truth does always comes out, but it isn't always clear. While the reporter was absolutely right that Arianna arrived at the meeting in an SUV, he didn't get the whole story. Namely, that the SUV had been sent by the Sierra Club to bring Arianna from the San Francisco airport to the Sierra Club conference at the Moscone Center, that she had been stunned when it arrived, and had raised the point with the organizers about the inappropriateness of the vehicle. This wasn't a case of hypocrisy... but rather a bad choice made by an otherwise worthy organization.
Sincerely,

So there is the story. Arianna sees a gas guzzling pollution spewing vehicle there to pick her up at the airport. She could have chosen to not enter the vehicle. As I pointed out to Mr. KABC tonight, I took a cab from the airport. Arianna, I didn't even have to wait. There were 20 of them lined up.
Okay, she gets in and shows up to give her speech. Why didn't Arianna demand that they get her another vehicle to take her back to the airport? Again, why not a cab? She wouldn't have had to pay for it. If she would have asked, I am sure that one of the hybrid vehicles that was featured would have given her a ride. She didn't have to get into the Suburban! I watched her do it voluntarily.
And what about the Sierra Club? Why in the world would they send a Chevy Suburban to pick her up at the airport? It wasn't a new vehicle. My guess is that it belonged to someone in the club. Perhaps that person needs to be kicked out of the club or at least be branded with a green tatoo on his forehead.
Folks, get this story into the mainstream media! Get it to all your favorite blogs and send it around the world.
Sierra Club Headquarters in San Francisco -- 415.977.5500. Call them and give an opinion. :)
boy, you are a troublemaker... :)
A rancid piece of meat is served. She is stunned when it arrived, and had raised the point with the organizers about the inappropriateness of the rancid meat. This wasn't a case of hypocrisy... but rather a bad choice made by an otherwise worthy organization.
He is a homosexual. She is stunned when he arrived, and she raided the point with the matchmaker about the inappropriateness of the homosexual. She married him anyway. This wasn't a case of hypocrisy...but rather a bad choide made by an otherwise worthy matchmaker.
Arianna eats meat? That despicable creature! Tofu for her!
And lawn clippings to run her huge SUV, no doubt it has Gaia-friendly gophers under the hood, right?
Bwahahahahaha!
Smile, Arianna, you're on Candid Camera!
hybrid vehicles are not worthy enough for Princess Zaa Zaa
I wish Sean Hannity could get this info. He would have a field day! LOL
Two days ago I got through to Sean twice but the screener would not put me on the air.
He's going to find out about this somehow. He'll go to town on Arianna just like last time. I almost felt sorry for her *lol*
Doug OMG rack it LOLOL!
Well what do you expect from Cali own Patsy Stone Sweetie Darlinggggg
I like the aston martin next to the suv.
I just sent it to Mark Levin and asked him to get it to Sean.
Oh excellent. No way she can get out of that one.
This story just keeps on getting funnier! LOL
WOW. Are you sure, or was that a jokey joke?
looks like the front/side of a DB9. Now if Arianna was driven it that car, I would have to give her a pass.
Two face rat bump ;)
I wish DFU all the good luck in his efforts with the enquirer.
I read a report here on FR yesterday that MPG stickers on cars grossly misstate what kind of mileage you can expect on your new car. The biggest misstatements were on hybrids. They were getting accurate rates while driving on the highway, but the mileage they were getting on the highway was what they were told to expect while driving in the city.
