The Bush administration has been somewhat silent to all the badgering and finger pointing because they KNOW that when the laundry is hung on the line, his undies will be the whitest. (Poor choice of words...ooops, I said poor, bad choice of words.)
I really think the dems have backed off calling for a Commission because they know they will end up with "skid marks", especially when the dem leadership in LA and NOLA is put on the stand. Bush has telephone records, TV footage of the gov saying that, "JUST maybe I should have called for troups LAST WEEK."
This is gonna be fun.

I agree with you there. The main problem is not the immediate response at least what I am seeing now. THe biggest frustration I see that people have with Fema is applying for the benefits. I saw that in the shelter the other day. Kinda like no one knew what to do and provided no answers.. But besides that I really thought the initial response came pretty quick. Once the dust clears the local officials will start talking about their experiences on the local parish level. That will clarify matters alot.
