Rescuers save pets too
JACKSON, Miss. -- Senior Master Sgt. James Sanchez carries a cat he rescued from the second floor of a flooded house in New Orleans. The cat, which he named PJ, is one of 22 cats he has saved during rescue missions in support of Hurricane Katrina relief operations. Sergeant Sanchez is a pararescueman with the 306th Rescue Squadron from Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Ariz. (U.S. Air Force photo by Senior Master Sgt. Elaine Mayo)

Bless him. The type of man I expect from our military. They make me so proud and I will always respect them.

I believe T. Boone Pickens and his wife paid $50,000 for a plane to fly out 200 puttys and dogs. It was very touching. they were flown from NO to San Fran.

Every life saved is an expression of the belief and hope that God is in this whirlwind.
He is a God of life, even amidst all the death and sorrow.
The rescuers are the angels of life, reaching out and saving every life. God bless them.
