There is something symbolic in this. That weekend, while you protest the Communists in Washington, D.C., I will be traveling into countries that were enslaved by Communism not many years ago. The world rejoiced when the hateful Berlin Wall came down in 1989 and the old Soviet "Evil Empire" was broken. Hundreds of millions of people tasted freedom for the first time in their lives.

I myself was long forbidden to visit these countries because I had held a security clearance. The two trips I made on East German land -- in and out of Berlin, that proud outpost of freedom in a Communist sea -- were in a sealed train. But now at last I can go. There is no Iron Curtain blocking the way.

Isn't it just like the Left to side with the last undemocratic, oppressive, totalitarian regimes -- North Korea, Cuba, Venezuela and Iran.

Yup. The left has never met a communist or murderous dictator they didn't like. And do they ever have plans for us!
