Okay. Please don't take this personally, but "Whoop-de-doo." I couldn't care less about the architect's intent. It doesn't matter. It's background noise. It has no bearing on whether this design is acceptable and/or should be built.

Long after the architect is dead and buried and no one has a clue about what his intent was or wasn't, that memorial IS a crescent and the crescent IS the universally-recognized symbol of Islam.

Therefore, it must not be built. That's all.
