Unfortunately without the fluridation of water many people won't live long enough to develop those diseases. Since the envirowhackos have opposed it deaths from water-born diseases have skyrocketed in South America.

Like many other things a little Fluoride goes a long way. But it is a valuable tool when correctly used. None should forget that it is a deadly poison however.

Only in the United States is fluoridation used so extensively that it permeates all municipal water supplies. Fluoridation is not used to prevent water-born disease - in fact, the little bit of fluoride that is used would not kill bad bacteria, viruses or protezoa. Chlorine us used in water treatment to kill those bad things. Or hydrogen peroxide. Or ultraviolet light.

Again, fluoridation has nothing to do with killing the little bugs that cause water-born illness. If enough fluorine were used to accomplish that purpose, it would be enough to seriously poison many people. Fluorine is very toxic. Chlorine, a close cousin, chemically, to fluorine, is used to treat water, but chlorine is much less toxic than fluorine.

Chlorine gas, however, breathed into the lungs, causes serious health problems or death - chlorine gas was used on the battlefield by the Germans in World War I against our troops. Some were seriously incapacitated by the chlorine, others died.

Fluorides are used in municipal water treatment facilities because of the misguided science that suggested that fluorides helped prevent tooth decay. Most toothpastes today contain fluorides. People who know do not buy or use toothpaste containing fluorides. People who know do not drink municipal water out of their tap because it does contain fluorides. Fluorides are bad for us, healthwise. Fluorides in the water or in the toothpaste do not prevent tooth decay.

"... fluridation of water...Since the envirowhackos have opposed it..."

The opposition to fluoridation of municipal water supplies does not come from 'envirowhackos' - it comes from health-nuts like me who know that fluorides are bad for us. It comes from doctors and scientists who know the truth about fluorides. Check the facts...start with Google or go to the library. Read from both sides of the discussion and then draw your own conclusions, based on facts.
