Will you be wearing a flak jacket on Friday? Just in case "cupcake" doesn't eat the apple his mommy packed for him again...

Anyway, "How 'bout them FReepers!!"

Indeed, they're still dominating the Pinkos and hindering the psyche-op of the Pinkos.

Nothing against you Bob, but April's "homeboy soldier" may want to hold out for a hug from her when she returns. :)

Looking forward to meeting you on Friday, Bob.

My TX home boy had a Billy Bob's cap on last Friday. He's from Callsberg.

All I did was show up,hold a sign and a flag...it's not so hard compared to what our soldiers have done for us.
You're the great American for showing up and offering to buy drinks for everyone! Sorry I'll miss that!

Right, we can be very helpful.

You haven't lived until you've FReeped the Pinkos and received the thanks of the troops!

Looking forward to meeting you on Friday, Bob.

Me too. The hug I would rather have from dear April, but I will say this. Last time I went thru Dallas airport, a whole wave of troops came thru my concourse. I got up and thanked each and everyone. Turned out I knew (friend of a friend) one of them from Albuquerque, he hugged me for my support. Man to man hug, nothing more.

As April said, it is so uplifting to see these heroes get the respect they deserve and they are happy to return the favor. I can't wait to be there to support them and to meet my fellow freepers. Thanks for the greeting and let's have a ball supporting them and wiping out the PINKOS.

I'm afraid that duct tape would be used on me.

No story from the journalist yet. Maybe, the story will run only after he comes back?

Kristinn said there was an article in the Saturday Wash Post, although I didn't see it.

No, since she had criticized you, albeit mildly, I thought that you were waiting to return the favor. Guess I was wrong in what I was guessing.

Negs. I expected some cyber-tongue lashing for my post. No offense and no apologies. As I said, that's fine as long as it bumps the thread. :-) And you're right, it was quite mild.

That article was about the Support the Troops and Their Mission Weekend.

The reporter who came to Walter Reed said he'll probably be back this Friday.

You probably are doing these things if so I don’t understand how the numbers are dropping.

The numbers aren't dropping. There was a spike after the national story ran, but the numbers the past few weeks have been probably 50% higher than before that national story. However, we still only average about 30-35 attendees.

30-35. That's really pathetic, given the disgusting nature of these protests - forcing our wounded soldiers and their loved ones to have this anti-war crap shoved in their faces when they're trying to heal. And according to the last FReepathon scoreboard we have 735 registered FReepers in VA, and 417 registered in MD. You can figure at least as many lurkers from those areas. (Don't know how many in D.C., although I'm guessing not too many.)

Granted, some areas of VA and MD are quite far away, but the bulk of those numbers is centered within 90 minutes or so of Walter Reed. And we have another 659 registered folks in PA, 90 in WV and 34 in DE. Again, figure in the lurkers. And all those people have loved ones and acquaintances that could accompany them or go in their places.

Yet on a Friday evening the best we can generally do for those who gave so much is three dozen.

I'm guilty of being a bad thread-bumper.

You're a dedicated local who shows up on Fridays. I think some others can cover the bumping for you. Of course, we won't turn your bumps down. :-D
