It was great to meet you, too! All of you guys made it a very entertaining evening. It was well worth the trip.
BTW-Being from Texas I'm a HUGE Landry fan myself. He was such a classy guy and a great football coach!
Thanks for coming from so far. Sorry I missed meeting you. The Walter Reed FReep is what got me out of the lurker mode, too. From the captions on bmwcycle's photos, it sounds like we had a couple of guys from Georgia, also? I told BillF that Walter Reed was becoming a FReeper Vacation Destination!!
Nonsense! They can come. Me and Buford just need to duct tape 'em to the MOAB.
Just a bit? I'm losing my touch. But I can certainly live with that. Hit me a few more times, for the troops!
Slacker!
Stay safe. ;-)
:-) That was Buford's request. Nice meeting you April. And you've started a trend, with Bob coming in from Michigan. Then next week JimRob is coming in from CA!
We look forward to seeing you again sometime. Perhaps next time you can bring along some of your new groupies. ;-)
The late Tom Landry and Roger Staubach were my heroes growing up, and not simply because of their football skills.
Your bumps are greatly appreciated!
I take no offense at Fraxinus' request to leave the Code Pinko lady at home.
I will tell you what inspired the sign. I began my FReeping career single handedly taking on 150 Women in Black. For some reason having one middleaged woman carrying a flag and a SUPPORT THE TROOPS sign bothered them greatly.
They hissed rude remarks behind my back as they marched by (it was supposed to be a silent march). Many of the "ladies" wore Code Pink badges. One of them stuck a camera in my face and repeatedly had the flash going off - in broad daylight - so that it was difficult to see for a few minutes afterwards.
One of Code Pink's early street theatre bits was to parade around in hot pink undies which went over well in the more rad urban areas like NYC and SF.
A lot of the "ladies" did not have the kajones (maybe it was too cold at the time) to do this so they wore the undies over black leotards.
I felt a 5 o'clock shadow would be representative of the growing number of males supporting their antics.
The hammer & sickle tattoo symbolize their real agenda.
"Fruit of the Loon" is self-explanatory.
The Uh-oh Code Pinko sign made it's debut in DC at a counter-protest to a huge ANSWER march.
While holding it, a young rad female marcher screamed "How can you do that to your fellow womyn?" and shortly afterwards some limp wristed protester threw an egg which hit the tartan I was wearing but rolled unbroken onto the grass.
At that point I considered the sign a tremendous success.
In honor of their hard work and dedication to our Troops and to the cause of Freedom, the sign was donated to the DC Chapter of Free Republic.
Support the Troops and Their Mission Weekend!!

Maryland and Virginia are represented every week.
45 more states to go and we will be a national FReep!
Good point, you can be the enforcer.
I can't disagree with anyone asserting the greatness of both of those gentlemen, but, as a Redskin fan, I'm calling in the ref on Cowboy fans illegally intercepting my thread. :)
Bob,
I left my sign with the freepers. Feel free to use it Friday night. There are alot of signs and flags to choose from.
I'll be there in Spirit! Someone hug my 'homeboy soldier' for me if he shows up again.
Thanks again for a fun evening, everyone!!!
