unfortunately, that cause was helped greatly today by the "I take responsibility" Bush soundbite that is leading every news story.
Yes. President Bush has a great heart, but he slipped up there, IMO. Never give the enemy an avenue of attack, especially when the enemy are amoral, ruthless, rabid-at-being-out-of-power Democrats.
He's got good character. He's talking the sins of the democrats onto himself.
A man who does not shrink from self crucifixion can never fail to accomplish the object upon which his heart is set.
People will be a witness to this, and who could hate such a man?
