"These animals found us, they came back after Katrina ... they came home," said Moby Solangi, president of the Marine Life Oceanarium in Gulfport. "All eight are together. It's the most wonderful news." Back in your aquarium prison little fellas.

Breaking news...
All 8 dolphins now on air-conditioned buses headed to Astrodome in Houston.

Did Gov. Blanco prevent the Red Cross from feeding the dolphins?

Well, the dolphins were offered MRE's, but they didn't like the taste and demanded to be taken to Burger King or McDonalds.
To: Rummyfan
Actually, dolphins get quite bonded to humans. We were in the Great Hanshin Earthquake (Kobe, 1995) and my middle daughter, age 8, had to call the aquarium just as soon as we got phone service back to make sure the dolphins were okay. They were, but got very rowdy and agressive toward each other as they really seemed to miss their twice daily performances. As soon as the aquarium reopened, they became their sociable selves again.
It is very hard for the eco-weenies to accept, but some animals actually enjoy human contact. Our pet guinea pig will actually squeel if ignored too long.

There is an inverse proportion between the admiration and reverence of animals and the value people place on their fellow humans.

I remember about 10 years ago fishing in Grand Isle, La. seeing sea lions playing in the marsh grass. They are unheard of in La., but we figured that they may have come from the aquarium. Looked like they survived pretty well.
