Today, President Bush met with Iraqi President Jalal Talabani in the Oval Office, and together they had a joint press conference in the East Room of the White House.

This afternoon, President and First Lady Laura Bush left the White House for New York City, where the President will address the United Nations.

In the name of Iraqi people, I say to you, Mr. President, and to the glorious American people, thank you, thank you. Thank you, because you liberated us from the worst kind of dictatorship.

Americans might not appreciate W as much as they should, but the people of the mid-East surely will. It's not only Afghanistan and Iraq that have a chance at democracy - it's also Lebanon, Iran, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, etc.
Not all of these countries will wind up with a solid democracy, but every one that does will bring us just a bit closer to world peace.

I don't think W was in search of a legacy (like his predecessor was), but he found one by doing what he thought was right. Bless him.

I always prayed that George would feel God's love through all his difficulties, and I know he does, but I also prayed that he would feel OUR love.

This is a WONDERFUL thought, altura.

When I post the prayer thread later on, I'm going to pray for just that..........that our President would know..........even though he doesn't govern by polls.........that he is loved and supported by all of us, in spite of what the bogus numbers say.

My Cable Modem Connection has been terrible lately, I called tonight about it and they said they were upgrading the system and to expect no more interruptions after today, I already notice a big difference tonight :-)
