I posted this on the other thread and thought it needs to be here too....

We've been seeing some stuff that would indicate that some on the left are trying to steer this into another scandal or "gate".

Apparently , Kenyon International is a wholly owned subsidiary of Service Corporation International, a Houston based corporation.

SCI is a company owned by a friend of Bush who was allegedly part of something called Funeralgate, "the scandal involving Bush and Joe Allbaugh, former director of FEMA, in 1999" according to some e-mails we're seeing.

"Also, SCI has settled claims for $100 million for allegedly dumping bodies in the woods, among other atrocities," according to the claims.

"Bush Cronyism Extends To The Dead" has been posted here and apparently also to DU

Hello,

Perhaps I am not getting this, but the article claims that Blanco has signed a contract with Kenyon International, after complaining that FEMA is dragging it's feet re: same. Now, the loonie left is claiming that since the parent company of this company is "connected" to Bush, this is a big conspiracy? Color me confused.

Glad to be here, MOgirl

Government Institutions generally settle lawsuits out of court as it is cheaper, and most are without merit, especially in Austin . That includes federal, state, local, even schools.

Apparently SCI has cleaned up it's act or they would not still be in business, and Bush may be from here, Midland, Texas, but he does not have that kind of power.

Now the Clinton's, their reach is long.
