and that the use of skin from condemned convicts is "traditional" and nothing to "make such a big fuss about".

Think I'll stick with Ponds cold creme, thanks all the same.

Sounds like an urban legend. Like eating corpses or the euthanizing patients in NOLA.

The only thing that lends this credence is the Chinese government's involvement.

This is one of the nastiest stories I have yet seen about those nasty Chicoms.

What's next? Lampshades?

Looks like they found a way around using animals for testing.

PETA must be ecstatic. Why haven't they demanded we do that here?

First thing that came to my mind, too.

Absolutely savage and disgusting.  Just sub human.  Using a human corpse for beauty products!  My blood runs cold to think of all the pairs of pants and jackets these bodies could have been turned into.

Well, if it's traditional, who can argue with that?

I wonder if they ever make any lampshades.

from skin taken from prisoners after they have been shot

That's horrible. I won't use anything unless it comes from prisoners before they are shot.

Moral Absolutes Ping.

This is very, very wrong. Not quite as bad as using parts of aborted babies, but in the same realm.

Freepmail me if you want on/off this pinglist.

Some things are just plain wrong.

Seriously, I've seen those people and it's not like they have really amazing complexions or anything. I suppose if they did, I'd have to buy the products--just kidding ewwwwwwwwwww!
