Abbas thanks Israeli Left ("Today Gaza, tomorrow the West Bank and Jerusalem" II)

Speaking in Gaza, PA leader says Gaza withdrawal a ‘historic precedent,’ adds Palestinians strive to remove occupation, settlements from all Palestinian land and chiefly Jerusalem.

The Gaza Strip withdrawal was a historic precedent, with the Palestinians striving to remove the Israeli occupation and settlements from all their land, and chiefly Jerusalem, Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas said Tuesday evening.

Speaking in Gaza, in a speech broadcast on Palestinian television , Abbas chose to thank the Israeli Left, among other elements, for helping to bring about the disengagement.

“I thank all our people and everyone who assisted us, including Israeli peace forces, allied countries, Arab countries…I thank the martyrs, headed by the greatest martyr, Yasser Arafat,” Abbas said.

The Palestinian leader noted the disengagement was not an end to occupation and that

Israel must also withdraw from the West Bank and east Jerusalem.

"The withdrawal of the occupation army and the settlers from the Gaza Strip doesn't mean in any way that occupation has come to an end," Abbas said.

"Today Gaza, tomorrow the West Bank and Jerusalem,” he said.

Turning his attention to Israel, Abbas said: “I turn to the people and government in Israel and tell them, we are holding out our hand for a true peace and a just peace.”

“In order for the disengagement to be a step of peace, it mustn’t leave behind focal points of tension that may bring the diplomatic process to a dead-end,” he said. ‘For this, (construction) work in the settlements and on the separation fence must end and prisoners must be released…”

At the same time, Abbas delivered a clear warning to terror groups that may seek to challenge his authority that everybody must obey the law.

"We will not allow anybody to destroy this achievement under any justification. This is the future of our sons. Today there is no room for personal agendas," he said.

"We will not allow the armed chaos and people taking the law into their own hands or kidnappings or attacking public property," Abbas said.

Jerusalem. That's gonna be fun. Does the recent Moslem destruction of 12 synagogues now mean that the state of Isreal can destroy the Dome of the Rock and other Moslem holy places in their territory?

Do the Pali's really think that they are going to get Jerusalem back? That's not going to happen. East Jerusalem? Is that partitionable?

Considering the road map to hell was developed by the arab countries without Israeli input nor participation. Didn't see any of arab countries who are 640 times the size of Israel offering any resources like land and money to resettle the palis. Guess all that desert arab land will just stay desert. In fact the Syrians made it a point to put into the minutes of the 2002 arab summit in Beirut that the palis would not be welcomed in Syria. RRRRiiiiggghhhtttt!!!! (sarc)

I will bet you that it was liberal Jews that disregarded the warning signs from Hitler and the Nazis before it was too late.

Even in my neighborhood there are the conservative Jews and the liberal Jews. The liberals had their Kerry signs. The conservatives, from Israel, took me aside and told me they thought the liberals have a death wish. I agree, totally.

I think that Sharon gave them what they demanded in order to destroy them.

They will descend into anarchy and civil war.

The final strike will come from Egypt. And it will be final.

Hmm...

I guess the definition of "Martyr" now includes buggering l'il boys...playing "Tiger"...and dying of the Anally Induced Death Sentence.

Allah (MHNBC...p-TUI!) must be so proud...

Question...can Arafag give his 72 virgins the HiV?

I notice the media rarely bothers to maintain the fiction that the Arabs want "East Jerusalem." It should be pretty clear by now that they want all of Jerusalem but none of the Jews.

FRmail me to be added or removed from this Judaic/pro-Israel/Russian Jewry ping list.

Warning! This is a high-volume ping list.

No, they're not going to get Jerusalem.

West Jerusalem isn't "get back", that's always been a part of Israel and Israel's capital since 1949.

Arafat was offered East Jerusalem at Camp David, and turned the deal down. I doubt it will be offered again.

And yes, they expect to eventually get Jerusalem, and Haifa, and Tel Aviv, and either kill the Jews or deport them to Europe.

The eviction of Istraelis from Gaza reminds me of the pogroms and purges of Russia and Germany.

These tyrants have nothing on the liberal Israelis who destroyed the lives of their own citizens.

Stop the appeasement. It never works.

How much will it take to satisfy the Arabs? "Just a little more."

Watch out for the other hand!

People of Israel - You have been duped!

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.
