Mom, suspect killed in carjacking, shooting
Atlanta Journal Constitution ^ | 9/13/2005 | frgoff

Kimberly D. Boyd took her son to preschool Monday morning, then dropped by a bank before heading to her office in north Cobb County.

Minutes later, her routine was shattered, and sometime before 9:30 a.m. she was struggling for her life with a carjacker as her Toyota Sequoia raced south on U.S. 41. The kidnapping ended with the 30-year-old Acworth woman dead and the carjacker fatally shot by a passer-by...

..."I shot and killed a man today," Roberts told WAGA-TV. "I don't feel good about it, but if I hadn't have done something somebody else would have died."

Williams said he heard at least four, perhaps five, gunshots.

"He [the carjacker] was five feet in front of me when he got hit," Williams said. "On TV, all that flailing around that goes on is not what happened. He dropped like a sack of potatoes."

Ah, but the real question is: How tight was his grouping?

The perp was also a suspect in two rapes and a previous carjacking and robbery. Ah, the smell of a smoking gun over the body of a dead rapist...

A career criminal assumes room temperature. The shooter expressed his condolences to the woman's family. Not really much he could have done to save her, though.

Tango Uniform and saved the state of Georgia a long, drawn out trial. Wish he could have saved the Mom, heartbroken for the preschooler.

Mr. Roberts should send the criminal's survivors a bill for his ammunition. Gun control works again: Deep breath, sight alignment, squeeze the trigger ....

At least they didn't charge him. He's lucky it was Cobb County (Newt's old district) and not the City of Atlanta.
Police are still unsure where the carjacking began, Pierce said. They are tracing possible routes from Allatoona Truck Rental, the business Boyd operated on Cherokee Street
Small business owner turned carjacker - that's weird. I wonder if they knew each other.

The shooter is a true friend of the taxpayers. No bullshit trial and no bullshit prison accommodations for the perp. But prayers and condolences must go out first for the poor woman and her family

She died from a car wreck with a cement truck. The truck hit the passenger side door. The perp died from multiple gun shot wounds -- after he drew on an armed citizen-- who fired first.

I wonder what pretext will be used to seize his gun. You know the gun might endanger LEOs. The precedent has been set in NO. We can't have people defending themselves and others.

No mention of a CCW license...To bad for the woman...

If it had been my wife...The headline would have read...

"Houston Woman with Concealed Handgun License Stops Car-Jacker"

The fact that he ("former" car-jacker) died as a result of that stoppage, shows that her husband "Stud-Man" taught her well...

Knowing my wife, we'd be stopping by the store to pick up replacement ammo before we got home...

We're such stinkers...

This scumbag brother told the woman who got away LAST week, AFTER being beaten, raped, terrorized, and driven to an ATM, that he was an "evacuee from Louisiana" (just heard this on 640 WGST radio report - 12:05 9-13-05)

Since the rape and abduction/car-jacking LAST week, and the incident yesterday occurred in a nice suburban area northwest of Atlanta near where my wife works (VERY little violent crime), AND not too far from a shelter with LA "refugees" in it, I tend to believe the bastard WAS from New Orleans.

This is JUST the type of thing that the left-wing media would TRY and cover up (hell, the local media, including the Atlanta Urinal-Constipation, even when a perp is still on the loose, will often not even mention the RACE of the criminal - , i.e., "the man fled the car-jacking/armed robbery/rape scene/etc. wearing a white t-shirt and jeans" - BOY, THAT's a big help, huh?) .

It would be VERY interesting to see how much the crime rate has gone up in each city/county/state where the "refugees" have gone.

As a GA resident who carries most every day (I would have been glad to provide this service to the community), I am proud of my fellow law-abiding, gun-toting, citizen who put this sh*thead down like the wild, rabid animal he was. Who knows how many lives will be saved (or at least kept from being raped and terrorized) by killing this scumbag?

Give the guy a MEDAL.

In wisconsin, he would have been arrested for carrying a concealed weapon. We are one of the few states that don't allow law abiding citizens to carry a weapon. I am forwarding this story to our local talk show hosts as more proof that law abiding citizens packing heat can help control the criminal element. Bravo
