No problem. I have relatives in South Carolina and have had the pleasure of visiting the state many times. The flag has always been one of my favorites and.....I knew the crescent had nothing to do with Islam! :-) But, to tell you the truth, this account of the flag's origins is a little different from what I have heard. I think I recall that the crescent had something to do with some military operations during the War of Independence that were helped by the fact that the moon was out that night. Or do I just think I remember that?
