He said he will remain in the Crescent City while his family lives for the next six months in Dallas, making occasional visits to his family when possible."

That being said his family should have been relocated in LA. That's just a basic action politically wise - leading the charge as opposed to running away. In the miltary that is known as cowardice and is punishable.
