There was also a story about FEMA cutting the Jefferson Parish government's communication lines immediately after the storm, and Harry Lee having them restored and posting armed guards to keep them from being cut off again. I don't know how much, if any, truth there is to that, but it's one of the stories going around.

Who is the sheriff that had his fuel commandeered by FEMA? He said in an interview that it was stockpiled as mandated by FEMA and then they took over and wouldn't let him have access expect through bales of paperwork. So, he just loaded up some deputies, marched in and took it. He also said that FEMA took down his antenna from a tower and replaced it with their own, so their communications went down. I didn't hear how that was resolved.
