Thanks for this.

As a person who lives near the community where this has occured I am speechless to those who may bring race into this.

I also am a deer hunter, and know there are things that should not be condoned on private property.

Vang was certainly tresspassing, and therefore already acting as a danger to other hunters who were in the area.

You are more than welcome.

I am a deer hunter, also. I hunt Minnesota every year. I have hunted Wisconsin 4 or 5 times.

Have you ever turned in a poacher/trespasser?

I, along with my party, reported two poachers, about 10 years ago. Long story. Maybe some other day.

My point is, to all of you hunters out there, these guys did everything wrong.

Never, ever confront someone that has no problem breaking the law while carrying a firearm.

When you observe unlawful activity and you are NOT IN IMMEDIATE DANGER, fall back, report the illegal activity to authorities and let them remedy the situation.

When my party decided to bust the two poachers we encountered, we walked away to our vehicles, made the call and stood back.

My take, feel free to flame.

Do you not think the criminal defense attorneys will decline to bring race into it?
