That is proof enough for me that Brown did an outstanding job.
If FEMA got those buses fueled, into the city, and out to Austin and Houston, I consider it a roaring success compared to anything the state or the city did.
Brown's taking the blame, but I doubt that anyone else could have done all that better of a job considering the size of the disaster.

Lt. Governor Landrieu spent 985,000 dollars to remodel and decorate his office since he took office in '03. The Landrieu family is expert in raping LA and not being taken to task for it. Imagine how that million dollars could be spent...
Oh, he wanted to raise his ceiling in the office another foot and was turned down .. wonder what THAT would have cost?

Did Brit say that Mayor Nagin had moved to Texas and bought a house there? And if so does this mean he has resigned and no longer Mayor of New Orleans?

I would pay anything to see Laura Bush B*tch slap this vile woman! ANYTHING!Save your ducats... The First Lady is just that, a lady through and through, and would never stoop that low, no matter how she felt personally about the "Honorable Senator from Louisiana". No the worst you'd ever see/hear from her is her saying, "Mary Landrieu, why bless her heart!"... (although no small number of our Southern born Lady Freepers could tell you what that really means...)

Mary may just be blonde window dressing, but it's obvious by her recent statements and actions that she has one hell of a good lawyer.
In the next several months and years the finances of New Orleans and LA are going to be given the old prosecutorial anal probe. Mary's lawyer knows this and his having Mary do her best to taint the prospective jury pool.

Yes and he pointed out that today was the first day he'd been in NOLA since last WEDNESDAY and did Russert from Dallas and Russert never asked him why he was there (or acknowledged he was there).

What a shrill tool she is.
Would love to see a girl-fight between her and Coulter ;o)

I'd prefer to Barbara Bush do it.

and they complain about hallburton (sp)getting all the contracts.

Still recovering from her PP performance
she did seem pretty shook up when she saw the picture of all of those busses, right after she said Bush was against mass transit, or something like that.
I didn't know whether to laugh, or scream.

Mary evidentally specified on the Senate Floor today that Halliburton is to get zero contracts in LA... all must go to LA companies (translation Shaw Group is paying for my next run in the Senate).

Will Republicans grow a spine and publically call for the resignation of Blanco,Nagin, and this skank?
Nah...we will bend over and take it AGAIN.
