For the record. I am an environmentalist. I believe it is in the strategic national interest of this country to lessen our dependency on foreign oil. I want this nation to benefit economically from the technology of hybrids and fuel cells. We should carpool when we can, get our butts on a bicycle seat when we can, and do other things that lessen the use of fossil fuels. That is a good thing. Automakers need to keep working to make cars cleaner and more efficient. But we have to mock these celebrities who tell everyone else what to do. Yep, they want the little people to do what is right, but the elite can do what they want. Arianna, STFU!

I own a large parcel of land in So. Cal that has been granted permanent open space status, never to be developed.
Having retired 7 years ago at the age of 39, I now drive far fewer (about half) miles than a person who commutes to work.
My home is on 40 acres of forest that's dense enough to make any hard environmentalists mouth water (especially if they thought they could control it).
I wonder how much of the CO2 your hybrid pumps out ends up being scavenger out of the atmosphere by my forest?
