Sister Mary Landrieu was not looking happy at the end of that interview!

Admit nothing, deny everything and make counter accusations.

The fine people from the great State of Louisiana need to take a hard look at the folks they've put into political offices and ask what those people have done (or not done, in this case) for LA.

Mary, Mary, quite contrary,
How do your tall tales grow?
With blame game lies, and rolling eyes
And school buses all in a row.

If Sen. Landrieu were as good at busing black people to safety as she was at busing them to the polls to vote, none of them would have died.

If Landrieu would have bussed all the black evacuees from New Orleans before the storm like she does when she busses them to the election polls, fewer would have died.

You notice that the media does not interview the Senators from Mississippi or Alabama. Blanco is in hiding. I also have not see any interviews with the governors of Mississippi or Alabama.

Didn't she somehow convince BJ clinton to come down for the last week of her razor thin campaign and endorse her?? Wasn't her persuasive abilities, you can bet on that!

I still think the look on her face at the end is priceless.

She was so pissed at Wallace. Her checks are blazing even through studio make up! This interview will be talked about for a while. Imagine what was said after the cameras were off. Landrieu's camp knows she just took one huge nuclear steamer on T.V. and they are going to need some heavy duty industrial strength cleaner to clean the mess she left in that studio today.

To: abb; All

Lord, God Almighty,

Please remove Mary Landrivel from every kind of public influence; from all access to the idiot leftist press; from every level of public office ASAP.

Please confine her to her own mirrors and recordings of her own inanities, deceptions and outrageous lies.

IF POSSIBLE, BY ALL MEANS convert her to sanity; to patriotism and especially to your Salvation. IF NOT POSSIBLE because of her inante stubbornness, arrogance and evil--then remove her from the public stage. Please change her wholesale or remove her from public life.

Let her not pollute the body politic any further. She is an affront to decency, good government and integrity, Oh Lord. in Jesus' Name.

This was an excellent interview to expose this shameless twit, although Wallace could have done better in pressing for answers to his questions, instead of letting her filibuster.

As for Vitter...what is it about cowardly Republican Senators, who spare no words to trash the Administration, but then get so bloody reticent concerning the managerial atrocities of the Democrats? When asked about his view of FEMA - oh yeah - he's got lots of criticisms to spew. But when asked about State and Local officials, and whether their response was lacking - all he could muster was a poker-faced "Yes" - before he resumed trashing FEMA.

Another "great" Republican looking for accolades on the DC cocktail circuit.

Fellow Freepers, I have heard many of you condemn public education, but may I remind you that Senator Mary Who (she complained bitterly when our Junior Senator David Vitter had the audacity to call her by her name on the floor of the Senate when he appealed to her to stop supporting the veto of President Bush's appointees)is a product of the finest and most expensive Catholic schools that were formerly in New Orleans. Yet she was unable and unwilling to give a straight answer to the questions that called for a simple yes or no response. Also, she sidesteps the issue of abortion by saying that she is against it but favors a woman's right to choose. The Pope is extremely proud of her. I am certain that if the issue were slavery, her position would be that she is against slavery but favors allowing others to own slaves if they so choose. Her father was the mayor of New Orleans for at least two terms. Her brother, Mitch Landrieu is the LT. Governor of LA. He just spent approximately $400,000 dollars renovating the Lt. Gov's apartment in Baton Rouge. This is a two bedroom apt. It runs in the family, trust me. Her days as a Senator are probably numbered. A significant number of her voting base have now been relocated to Texas. She knows this and was in Washington with Chris Wallace. Senator Vitter was at the Astrodome, not looking for votes for he knows none there voted for him. He was there to see what he could do to help and to thank the citizens of Texas for their enormous contribution to the relief effort.

Anybody know about the press releases Mary Mary was accusing the GOP or administration of putting out? She said something about "not putting out press releases like [the administration is] putting blame on the locals for not running school busses."

I haven't seen any such press releases? Have there been aby such press releases? Or she letting us know that teh DEMs plan a series of press releases -- well, I guess they have those now, called "reports" and "news articles."

As dems go, I thot Landrieu was one of the better ones. This performance was pathetic. I'm hoping the phoniness is pretty transparent to the Americans that count -- and vote.

The democrat party is slipping in the abyss.

Sen Landrieu,

"Mayor Nagin and most Mayors, in this country, have a hard time getting their people to work on a sunny day less alone getting them out of the city in front of a hurricane"

Seems to me that if you have a problem getting them to work, then they obviously they need to find somewhere else to work......Democrats? Figures

"..this mayor and mayors in cities all over this country have enough trouble getting people to work on a sunny day, let alone on a day of a hurricane

What she really meant to say was "..this mayor has enough trouble getting to work on a sunny day, you expect him to carry out his mayoral duties during a hurricane?!"
