Oh yeah, definitely positive for the most part. It was a beautiful day, with a respectful yet energetic crowd. The jerks were annoying, of course, but they were incredibly few!

Great day !!!! Wish I was there !!!
That's the only part about being in Alaska that sucks. I miss out on all the events. Well not all but it takes a little extra planning to get there.
But I was there in spirit !!!
I will be going halibut and silver fishing out in the Prince Williams Sound tomorrow though ;-)

We headed up river (Potomac) in front of Arlington National Cemetery. The sea of patriotic, reverent walkers stretched as far as the eye could see. We crossed over the Memorial Bridge.... This was my favorite part of the day. I remembered the images of the sea of people leaving NYC on foot four years ago and here we were, a sea of people walking into the city saying, "You can't have it. It's ours and we're taking it back."
