I think this was very well done. Brokaw was even pretty fair with his interviews of family members. I will keep a recording of the show for future generations.
Watched it as well. Excellent program except for Brokaws attempt to demean the gov't by asking folks if they felt safer after the changes made after 911.
The family members didn't take the bait and I was glad of that.
Tough program to watch, but important to remember.

Think about it.
YA can buy the DVD here.....

Remember that this money goes to the "cresent" design memorial. If ya have issues as I do with the design. Yet I wanted the movie so I bought anyway.
Yeah, until I read up on the design, I had not any issues with it the idea of the memorial...
Question...
How friggin stupid some people (who worked on this project) must be "not" to see the representation or resemblance to this islamic symbol???
The whole process have review after review, artistic development and presentation preparation, to an "public" unveiling...
And nobody in that whole development process ever saw this???
If it only took less than a day for most of the world to notice this funny little coincidence...You have to wonder what they were smokin'...
I'm glad you got the video of that show...
Not sure if I'll even need to see the program...
I wake up everyday, and one of the first thoughts in my mind is...
Is this going to be another 9-11 day...
I remember, and I'll probably never deviate from that mindset...
I can still live, work, play and love in my life, and this country can call me again anytime, anywhere to serve...
It's still worth it...And that will never change...
If it were on CBS, the terrorists would be portrayed as innocents who sought refuge in the cockpits because of anti-Islamic bigotry shared by airline passengers... and Dan Rather would have photocopies of documented proof!
It was certainly a gripping narrative. The one glaring ommision was the inability to use the flight data recorder to trach the exact flight of the aircraft during the critical last twenty minutes.
Does anyone know if Discovery Channel has scheduled a repeat airing? I went to their website but couldn't find the info. Thanks!
Dear Ms. Hanley,
After watching "The Flight That Fought Back" I was very interested in donating to the Flight 93 Memorial, but when I did some research on the design plans, I have changed my mind. What were you thinking when you chose the shape of the Crescent? Just who is being memorialized here? This would be like making a Holocaust Memorial in the shape of a swastika. I consider this to be utterly shameful and a complete disgrace to the memories of those American heroes who died on board Flight 93, to use the religious symbol of the very terrorists who hijacked the flight and caused their death. I hope that you reconsider this unbelievably tasteless and tactless "memorial." If not, you might as well just put the names of the terrorists on it rather than the heroes because that's who you are memorializing.
Count me out on the donation.
Sincerely,

Or you could catch it on Tivo and burn it to DVD. :oD
Yes, I watched it and I would say the proper way to describe it would be "it mixes Fact with INFORMED SPECULATION" from experts and family members.
However, there is no doubt due to evidence from the actual cockpit recordings that if the terrorists had not crashed the plane when they did that they were all going to be killed by the passengers.
Those people are Heroes there is no doubt!
Yep Yep Yep....good point !
