Melissa Hart jumped into her first campaign with plenty of heart.
Hart, a three-term congresswoman from Bradford Woods in Allegheny County, has always enjoyed her strongest advantage by being herself, according to those who know her best. With a frank, friendly demeanor and low-key personal charm, she conveys a down-to-earth quality that's politically captivating, they say.
Starting out, she wasn't going after the moon.

She is a good, conservative Republican and will be the PA GOP's hope in the senate race for Specter's seat in 2010.
As the article points out - she has made a career out of winning in heavy dem districts.

I like Melissa. She was my Rep. here in Westmoreland county until they split the district. The only thing about her that bothered me was when she was supporting the "stadium tax" at the same time she was "dating" Kevin McClatchey, owner of the Pirates.
Are you so sure she wants to run for Specorrector's seat in 2010? I hope.
In 2010, if he is still alive, Specter will not run again.
