This study makes some sense. There was a large study which asserted that British women who endured the Blitz in WWII had homosexual children in larger proportions than normal. Apparently hormones which normally are distributed to the unborn child are interrupted when the mother is under great stress.

There is informed speculation that homosexuality is caused by some kind of error in the sexual development of a fetus or child. The idea is that there is a set of special "switches" that get flipped from their default female settings, to make a fetus turn out male. (The program that controls this is on the Y chromosome.) So if a certain switch doesn't get flipped, the child turns out gay. So the idea is that if the exact biochemical basis of that switch were identified, it could be flipped after the fact. A gay man would lose interest in the same sex and start to notice all the pretty women walking by.
The problem with this theory is that while there is some evidence that the cause of homosexuality is partly genetic, it seems clear that environment plays the greater role. By "environment" researchers mean anything from a mother who smokes cigarettes (dubious) to childhood sexual behavior (sexual abuse or possibly with peers). The old Freudian theory (distant father, domineering mother) still has its adherents. Another theory is that somewhat effeminate male children (not as robust or athletic) are rejected by their peers, so their peers become the "exotic other" that humans are programmed to become sexually fixated on. (For most boys, the exotic other are girls.) None of these theories have been proved of course.
If Bush can cause a hurricane, he can certainly make your child turn out gay.
